Saw it passing Richmond. Very impressive, and significantly quieter than the 744 that preceded it. It's very windy here.

Yeah, it's a real bummer for folks trying to watch it from work with no access to TV.

Saw the a/c descending over Hendon. Can't believe that in the ime it took me to walk half a mile, they have come from Filton!

Here's a couple of shots I took at Hawarden. Hope everyone enjoyed the sight of me landing a Cessna about 20 minutes before the A380 arrived

Watched it from Notting Hill, looked very good, very graceful as said previously. I thought she was a bit nose high though. As also said earlier, how small was the chase 'plane in comparison! Some of the people I was with couldn't even spot the Corvette!

Cool

While it doesn't redress the failure of BAA to successfully webcast the arrival of FDD, it IS possible to send an email to the BAA media centre - there is a link at the top of the screen where you logged in for the webcast.

Moving on ... FDD will undertake airport-trials today and leave at crack of sparrows tomorrow. Anyone know which frequencies she will be using for departure? One is likely to be hound-walking at dark o'clock and one might, perhaps, carry one's wee receiver

This is a question more suited to Jetblast, but brock, what exactly IS a wee receiver? Is it a little bottle?

Sky News showing the interior now - a few seats, but mostly it's unfitted, not even wall coverings. Some ballast tanks or something upstairs.

Nice pictures Squadgy!

Re: Ballast tanks

Contains chemicals for the chemtrails!

Seriously, I noticed on the lower deck they had an instrumentation station setup in the back. I guess that's for gathering performance data....
