What was it....?

Flew out of Munich airport the other day, and having perused the luurrvely cuuurrvy canard Piaggi-thingy on the biz-jets apron, then taxied past some hangers (lufthansa), outside one of which was an aeroplane I cannot identify.

Twin engined, high wing piston type, with the engines on stubs down by the wheels. Green/camoflaged in colour, but not military as it had a civvy D-xxxx reg. General apperance was like a Dragon Rapide, but without the lower wings outboard of the engines.....

.....any ideas?

Also......Just after climb-out, turned right directly over what appears to be a disused military airfield before heading off on a climbing high downwind past the airport again, any ideas as to what the airfield is aswell? Ive seen it a couple of times when on final approach to Munich too. Sorry didnt catch the runway....

Thanks in advance,

Regards, SD..

Yep, That's it!!

After looking at similar photos on Airliners.net, In fact I believe that THIS is the actual one I saw, and in almost exactly the same spot?

Thanks for the quick response, guys. It had been bugging me I couldnt figure out what it was.

Any ideas on the airfield? My jepp FBS chart doesnt go as far east as Munich....

Regards, SD.

The airfield you could see after a right turn out is Erding, ETSE. I dont think thats its a disused airfield though.
