Question Old jet
Did anyone see the see a DH Vampire stooging around the Weedon/ Flore area of Northamptonshire at around 6.30pm on Monday 25th of July? Anyone know what aircraft it was and what it may have been doing? It made at least 1 very low pass and howled like a hoarse banshee. (albeit a slow one!)

If its the one Im thinking of, was bringing an R22 back from maintantence back to COventry, and there was one approaching the holding point of the runway about 1730

Pardon my ignorance but how does one go about transporting an R22 with a DH Vamp?
