Military A330 at LHR today?

Anyone know what the A330(?) was that landed at Heathrow around 3pm please? With my spotting head on I was watching the landers from the garden and glimpsed what I thought was a 330 - pale colour scheme with an unidentified flag on the tail. Might just be an airline I'm unfamiliar with.. but looked a bit military..??

Thanks

There was a 737-800 that landed about 1500LT which is parked over by the Royal Suite. I believe it may well belong to the Peruvian Government but not sure.

Peruvian? Wow. Thanks very much for that, KM. OK on the type - well it had turned up winglets and looked biggish so being old and decrepit I'm allowed the mistake!

Back to Spotter School for you HD
Did someone not mistake the Canadian Air Force A310s as 777s recently too?

Bah, they all look the same these days, I remember back in the days of yore (yaw?) one could easily tell the Trident from the 727 and Caravelle etc, etc... happy days!

A Columbian Air Force B737 arrived just after 1500L as callsign "FAC001", parking initially on stand RS1

Kestrel that was me who mistook the CAF A310s for 777s!!

Seems I am getting my South Americans mixed up as well.

HD,

As I look outside now there's an Etihad A330 parked on what you'd remember as W6, next to the Royal suite. It was parked there when I got upstairs at five past two this afternoon. The 737 BBJ on the Royal suite now is the Columbian Air Force 001.

Columbian, eh? That's probably what I saw. Thanks for the gen guys...

Jets are too difficult for me - much easier when we had to count the props!

Just for the record guys, the country is Colombia - a frequent error, made by all the media, including the dear old BBC, presumably exacerbated by the two Columbias in N.America.
Just a small point, but it does deserve to be spelt correctly, as does Ingland Skotland and Island.

"FAC001", the Colombian B737 departed Heathrow for Bogota this afternoon. Pretty long distance for the Baby Boeing
