Hello PPruners,

Just after some advice. I recently received my Tickets for R.I.A.T 2005 and i was wondering if anyone knew of nearby places that I could camp for two nights? (Friday and Saturday). Looked at a few camping sites guides and there doesn’t seem to be much around that.. Looking to book my pitch as soon as possible as I guess it will they will book up reasonably fast..

Also does anyone have any good advice for making the most of the day at R.I.A.T?

There is a camp site set up right by Fairford, with a bridge access to the airfield usually. The website should point you in the right direction for this.

Take plenty of water with you and, depending on what you plan to do, a large coolbox. Food isn't cheap and neither is drink.Best place to sit for photographs is either end of the runway.

Just go and enjoy, but get there early.

There is a site on the south side of the base that I'll be at and have been for a few years.
They are at www.airshowcamping.co.uk . Pretty good facilities and really good views.
