hapzim,

Many thanks for the link. We all agree down here that it looks very smart in the new scheme and enjoyed the excellent piccie.

It's gone off to CUN (Cancoun) via MAN and is due back tomorrow.

Cheers,
The Odd One

Does the 767 belong to Monarch or is it a lease for the summer season?

I believe it still belongs to my travel and is on lease or loan to Monarch.

I saw it today on the ramp and I thought it looked mint.

Who painted it and how much would it cost for a job like this.

How long and how many men etc etc etc to carry out such a job, I'm interested to know.

Would it need re weighing after a job like this.

Congratulations. It is the very first time that one of these new fashion 'swoopy line' schemes actually looks good!

I don' t know about this particular aircraft, but I do know a little about the recent Thomson re-paints.

They are carried out by a firm in Maastricht. They have two shifts of about 12 blokes per shift, and work round-the-clock for a week to re-paint a 767. It costs around £60k.

It is normal to re-weigh after a paint job, but I'm not sure if it's a requirement.

Great to see an IT carrier getting another a/c, but a 'New 767!' The 767 is becoming an antique now!

It's on a 3 year lease and was painted at Filton.

It depends on how much filler they had to use.

Monarch & The 767

Congratulations to one & all at the big `M` The 767 took quite some time to finally arrive, but looks very smart indeed in the new latest paint job.
The best of luck to all those involved & in particular the crews who will operate the aircraft.
