Airbus superjumbo parts for sale on eBay
Daily Post ( Liverpool) 02/02/05

WORKERS at an aircraft firm were under investigation yesterday after components from the new A380 Superjumbo were found for sale on the internet.

Managers at Airbus UK, which makes the A380 wings at its plant in Broughton, Flintshire, spot-ted parts for sale on the auction site e Bay.

An internal investigation was launched to determine whether workers were trying to make extra money by selling spare or scrap components to plane buffs.

An Airbus UK spokeswoman said: "All parts for our aircraft, including scrap, require rigorous documentation and are strictly controlled.

"The incident will be thoroughly investigated before we decide whether any action against our employees is necessary. ""

She refused to reveal what parts were on sale, but said they were "very small and of little value"".

The double-decker A380 Superjumbo, which can seat 555 passengers, was officially unveiled at a major ceremony last month in Toulouse, southern France.

Do you actually have a job, 747 foc, or do you spend your entire day trawling the world's media for stories knocking the A380?

747 Focal
what exactly is it that you don't like about the A 380? It seems a bit early to start bearing a grudge?
Would you be a happier chappy if it was the Boeing 380?
Please enlighten me old chap!
