Arrow Ryanair Aicraft Count

Hi is there anyone out there who can tell me the current number (total) of aircraft that Ryanair is operating?How often they take livery of a new 800?and how many more they are to receive, and if possible, how much is ryanair paying per every new 800?

thanks

The 6 737-300 A/C that Ryanair aquired when they brought Buzz have now left the fleet.

I used to work on these A/C daily from 1st may 2003. By the end of November they had all gone back to ILFC i believe.

Since their departure from the fleet i now work on the 800s and occasionally the odd -200 series, they wont be around for a great deal longer either!

Thomsonfly & bmi baby have taken 3 each of the ex Ryanair/Buzz/Continental B737-300s.

The B737-200s have already started to be taken out of service, should all be gone by late spring 2005.

No the Continental machines were 300s
and never carried ryanair colours and in fact flew in a mix of Buzz yellow and part Contintal colours

Don't think RYR have had any B737-500s but i'm happy to be corrected.

I remember seeing their BAC1-11s in BHX a few years ago, since then they've had B737-200s from various sources (Lufthansa, Transavia & Britannia to name a few), then the B737-800s which they ordered from Boeing. After the buyout of Buzz, they had the BAe146 & B737-300 in the fleet (both types now retired).

I also understand they leased 2 B737-800 from Excel for a short period

The first of the Ryanair 737's for scrapping left Prestwick last night on the back of a lorry minus its wings, en-route Bournemouth.

@Twin Pioneer

Curious as to what kind of fanfare greets a new Ryanair a/c on arrival, if any?

I imagine a new a/c is a significant moment for any aviation company, but with Ryanair I'm not sure - that and they fact that the probably take possession of them at a faster rate than most other companies.

Does the champers come out? Does MOL come out to take a look? Or is it straight down to the business at hand?
