BA 777 in PMI yesterday

Just wondering if anyone knows why there was a BA 777 ( G-YMML) in PMI yesterday afternoon? PMI isn't a normal destination for them so am just curious to know why it was there.

From the BA website, it looks BA82 ABV-LHR 5 Nov went to PMI, arriving at 1358 6 Nov, then departed for LHR at 1516.

Similar thing has happened to BA74 LOS-LHR 6 Nov, which has had a stop in PMI from 0432-0555 today 7 Nov, though that's a 744.

Dunno why, though.

No Jet A1 available in ABV (or the rest of Nigeria), apparently. ABV --> PMI was as far as they could get with the fuel tankered in.

I'd just like to say a big THANK YOU to all those who supplied information on the BA 777 that landed in PMI the other day.

It was a HUGE mystery but now I can sleep soundly once again.

Thanks to all you spotters and let's see you all out there with your scanners and little ladders bright 'n early tomorrow again!!!

No matter, he is going to have 'rest' for a while.
