Usually a round of the world aerobatics championship, excellent flying and not such big crowds, so good views all round.

The show is 24-28 Jan, its planned to be much bigger this year and there is a 5 year plan sponsored by the regions leader to make it really big.

I had a ramp tour here a few years ago with a friend who was working in ATC. The circuit was getting absolutely hammered with UAE Hawks and PC9s ??. Rich rulers sons playing at air force pilots.

My friend claimed that the plush terminal was really there for Al Ains ruler.

Nice town though a real oasis.
