el al 4x-axh cockpit patch?
hi, i know this is a bit of a long shot,but does anyone know what happened to 4x-axh,the el al 747-200 just below the first officer's front windshield?
reason being i saw it today at johannesburg with a shiny silver skin patch.i dont think a ground vehicle could have got it up there,so was it a birdstrike? if so,being on such an angled surface,surely it would deflect the luckless fowl?
also,why are they not painting their classic 747s into their (beautiful) new livery? saw-axq at bkk a few weeks back also in old livery>
