Thomas Cook in trouble at MAN?

Can anyone shed any light on why a TC flight to Fuerteventura is still stuck in MAN? I hear there is a technical fault with the aircraft, can anyone elighten us as to what this is? I only ask, as the airline haven't been very forthcoming with a reason!

Sure they are making every effort to fix it as Thomas Cook do considering their high standards.

Exact technical details are not released because a small minority taking a panic attack over the exact reason can cause havoc at the Airport when miss-information is spread between the passengers.

Comments like:

"The plane's not safe, you hear!!!"

"I'm not traveling, could fall out of the sky"

Picked up by other passengers can spread very quickly.

The vast majority of passengers are ignorant to anything technical about aircraft and quickly make incorrect assumptions.
