Tristars in UAE
There are 7 or so tristars seemingly parked for storage at Fujera in the UAE.
Two of the registrations are XU-100 and HS-UTS
I did find out that RUM AIR is planning on taking some aircraft, but not that many. Are they simply planned for storage or do they still have a future. Anybody know?

Must assume that is unlikely, though may be able to run a couple of a/c using the others for spares but there again only around the middle east and beyond. Tristars must be exorbitant to fly and service and also I would suggest that the pilot / engineer numbers must be low and it may be difficult to crew them.

XU-100 was the Kampuchea opb by Orient Thai which also operated HS-UTS. Finding them now parked at Fujera is interesting info.
-the Tristar eventually exited Orient Thai's fleet
-litterrally outshadowed by SHJ, Fujera seems finding a niche as a storage location

Only 4 at Fuj.....the others at RAK......dunno where else. Fuj is the cheapest airport in the UAE as far as parking fees go. The first 1011 to arrive was a yank driver and he said the a/c was going to be parked indefinately.....that was 3 months ago......the others all trickeld in since then.....Fuj only has 12 official parking bays......
