What is it about this Forum
Now I see lots of posts in other areas of Proon bagging the humble aircraft spotter.
When I looks at the threads in this forum I sees not many replies to most threads - but look at the number of views
Makes me wonder if lots of these piloty types ARE closet spotters who really ARE interested in what's going on 'round here but just don't wanna get caught
c'mon guys - own up

Many people, myself included, use the 'Latest Threads' function on the home page. It is therefore possible to read a thread without ever knowing which forum that thread was on. I would suggest that the number of hits on a particular thread probably has more to do with the title. That is why a thread titled 'bmi rumours' on this forum receives 8185 hits whereas one titled 'Is there an international airport in Srebrenica?' only received 97.
Having said that, I have no probem in being a 'spotter'. My interest in aviation developed as a spotter at Ringway in 1958.
