Gone.
But, I am not sure about the certificate...might have been purchased.
The original Airlift was created by the merger of Slick, Riddle...and another company which I can't remember at the moment.

The merger occured in the early 60s
I think the first ever aircraft purshased new under Airlift banner were the 707-320s then the DC.8-63CFs which replaced them
But things got somewhat airy and they operated some DC.8F54 and 55 until the early 90s. Last ops were undertaken on a very limited scale with a Fairchild 27 and a 227 ! Grandeur et décadence (Rise and Fall)

According to AeroTransport Data Bank, Airlift International entered Chapter 11 in 1981 until they were acquired by George Batchelor (of Air Arrow fame) in 1992.
