You are right, sorry for the misunderstanding.
Thatīs a nice startegy from Ryan Air. All this is because one week ago there was a tv program about no frill airlines and Ryan Air was the one shown. Its station manager at Gerona told things about the company that I could not beleive, and pax on board of one of their aicrafts where telling the news people how much they paid for their tickets. It was incredible.
Now, I was thinking about a low cost for a regional airline using ATR72 or saab 2000, or small jets around 60 to 70 seats. Do you think it will be profitable?
Thanks again

I saw a breakdown some time back of a LCC flight from Luton to Nice with an estimate of all costs and all revenues. The result seem'd to be that they made around GBP 550 profit per flight. Not much of a profit you may think but multiply this by a whole lot of flights and it all adds up to a very nice little earner. From memory the model used was EZ but the same probably applies to Ryanair. Whatever anybody may think of LCC's they certainly enable Joe public to fly for a lot less than it used to cost.

low cost!!!!
Trans I live here in Spain and just for your info, I have been asked to work a trial week just to see if I would be suitable for a job.
Then of course your not suitable and the job is offered to someone else and a week later someone else. Get the picture!!!
This is how to turn a good profit. No doubt living here in Spain you know of this type of tactic.
