Post AN 225 at IAH?

Hello!

I saw the An 225 at IAH yesterday. Does anybody know why it is there?

AN-124 at DTW?

There was an AN-124 at Detroit also.........the plot thickens

I've heard it flies oil parts between houston and Russia. I watched it take off once, with almost no lights, and looking very heavy, kinda scary looking.

Currently on charter to GE moving generating equipment from USA to Iraq from locations around the states......

225 is just carrying more than the 124

Twice the load for less of your bucks!!

I wonder if they considersed that with 6 engines, it gives the "crazies" with the shoulder-fired missiles a bigger chance of hitting the mammoth machine ... that would be some "kill" for them :-( ... I hope that at least the crew are duly rewarded for putting their life on the line to carry the equipment for greedy industrialists of a war-mongering country.
