condiciones de vida: de duras a muy duras, arabia saudi no son los emiratos arabes, aqui despues de trabajar no hay nada que hacer.

Certainly the UAE it's not, but in fact I much preferred Saudi precisely because it was a quieter, more relaxing place. You can do most activities you're used to (climbing, skydiving, scuba diving, etc.) but you have to know the right people. On the other hand, if you are moving there with the family, you will get lots of family time which some people like, others not so much so. Finally, it all depends a lot where you are based--Jedda, Ryadh, and Dhahran could just as well be in different countries.

Caveat: I haven't been there since 2003--things might have changed now.
