FI course at Aerofan FTO
hello all,
I've been browsing the web looking for a place where to find a good FI course. What do you think about Aerofan in Madrid? did any of you have any experience with them? Any opinion and suggestions will be much appreciated, thank you!

Bad mantienance, poor flying experience in Cuatro Vientos, course completion time not guaranteed... There are way better places. Why don't you try Portugal? It's full or brazilian chirks!!!!

I tell you to don't come in Spain. There are a lots of troubles with the flight schools' fleet and the accident rate is increasing too much. If I was you I would prefer to go in a portuguese school called www.aae.pt where some of their best student where callled from Ryanair and Easyjet.
Good luck

Aerofan
I did my FIC in Aerofan a while ago, i was satisfied with the course and never had any trouble, in my opinion is the best compromise Quality/cost you'll find..
Do a search as this topic has been covered in the past months, make sure you use the advanced search feature and tick the box allowing messages older than 1 month.
There are british guys that have done the course in Aerofan, you could try to contact them via the PM feature.
Good Luck

Otherwise, you have Airmed
they used to offer a job as FI after their course in order to build hours (200 hrs or something like that)... I am not sure if you get paid, probably not (but the manager, YES ).
The thing is I don't know if this school still exists...
Bonne chance !

¡Por Dios! Don't think to go there. They promise you to finish the instructor course in just 1 months and at the end if you get your FI licence in 3 month you are lucky.
Don't thrust in them because they can't offer a job to all their students, and even more they promise you 400 hours as FI but most of those few guys who worked for them they didn't get more than 200 or even less.
They have a bad name here in Spain and their courses are a bit expensive (FI 7000 €)

Airmed
I did the integrated ATPL course there, make sure you don't even get near them, it's been going downhill for a while and the quality is very low and very expensive

Well...I have to say that I am (not) glad to read that not all the s t comes (aviationwise) from the country I belong. Shame to read so bad about a country where the weather is always on pilot's and FIs side but the FTOs cannot stand such a bless with high quality training. Strange but true there are just 2 FTOs which noboby ever complains about...I let you find who they are but just to help a little...they were founded on opposite sides of the pond but they both speak EN...
Evora's FTO has a great reputation because it's dealing with legacy airlines such KLM and I believe their money MUST be safe so...easy choice if you look for quality but huge leap when it comes to CASH.
Same old story...quality costs money! Be wise...Forget to buy a wrapped box, check them out first.

Hello,
Aerofan has problems right now with CAA (British and Spanish one as well) - problems with all English students. The CAA will be there this summer to investigate them.

Is there any further information available regarding Aerofan's problems with CAAs? I've booked my MEP training with them and it is supposed to start in a couple of weeks and therefore it would be great to hear more about their problems.

mep at aerofan
Ive been reading this link and can not recognize anything being said, ive recently returned from aerofan having completed my reval and mep and had very little trouble, infact the main problem for me was the weather but then it was winter, and that was only the odd day of wind and a bit of rain. Aerofan i FOUND ,WERE MOST HELPFUL, the planes may be old but they were safe enough when i flew them, granted there may be delays in finishing on time thats probably due to the amount of students wanting to attend there, further more, I turned up with out booking due to a bad time with fly in spain and within 2 days theyed got me revalled and found an airschool at the same airfield for me to build my hours in order for me to complete the mep. summing up I found the staff helpful, the instruction good, and the aircraft fine, I hope this helps.

ATPL at AeroFan???
Can anyone else confirm problems with AeroFan and especially what is the quality of ATPL lectures?
Do they do it proffessional wa (ATPL) and help you if you don't understand something?
Thinking about going to SPain for ATPL but haven't decided yet where to go. Madrid - Aerofan seems nice (until this thread) choice, also price seems OK.
Any advice?
