Any Safe Place To Retire In Africa
After a couple of marriages where I've ended up losing my houses, by the time I retire I'll still have a large mortgage outstanding on my house and with the way the stock market is behaving I'm getting very worried about being able to afford to pay it.
I've seen the advice about Costa Rica, which looks interesting, but does anybody on PPrune have information on the possibilities for retirement in Africa, especially places with double taxation agreements with UK and where my state pension can also be paid, without loss of inflation proffing. I've been thinking about South Africa as I'm told property prices on the Cape are very low compared with Europe, the climate is good and healthcare is good. I expect one would have to pay out for security, but I have no idea what that would cost. Anyone out there with information or links to where it can be obtained?
