Bomber Jacket

I recently lost my RAF WW2 sheepskin flying jacket. It was made by a company called "Aviation Leather" (I believe), who had taken over the original "Irvine" name/label, and faithfully reproduced the jackets. I got it ten years ago, and can't find any trace of the company on the net. I know they do, or used to supply jackets to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. Does anybody know of an address/phone number?

Question Made in the UK

Please note that in my post it indicates that the jackets are made in the UK. Most likely, by Aviation Leathercraft. Check out the website and get the Canadian price V the UK price. If the Canadian Price is cheaper considering VAT in the UK it might be better to bring it in from Canada. Since the jacket is made in the UK most likely you won't have to pay customs duty.

IMHO

Just google search for Aviation Leathercraft (uk only) and its the first answer.

Think you'd have to pay VAT despite made in UK. Not sure about Canadian imports but tax on US leather (was looking for a US western saddle) is 22%.

Exclamation

Slickster

I think from memory a new one is around £400.

I'm selling mine (yes, a genuine Aviation Leathercraft one) in size 42 if I remember correctly, for around £240. It's hardly been worn, and virtually unmarked.

If it's any good to you please email me as per profile
