Jobs in Aviation

I've read the rules of this forum, and believe THIS site to be of benefit to those looking for employment in the industry. I hope the moderator is in agreement? The site is kept afloat by advertising; but there is no cost to job seekers at all. Try it out at www.fliteonline.com and see for yourselves.

Hey, I agree, sounds like a good idea for those that would like to continue after the "infamous age 60 rule"

It looks like the age sixty rule is getting pretty contentious again........The U. S. Senate is expected to take up S. 824, the FAA Reauthorization Bill, in the next few days. During consideration of that bill on the Senate floor, Republican Senator Jim Inhofe from Oklahoma will offer an amendment to repeal the Age 60 Rule. The Inhofe Amendment would immediately increase the retirement age to 63, opening the way for retired pilots, age 63 or less, to return to the cockpit. Thereafter, the retirement age would be increased to 66.

Many Pilots are naturally concerned about the effects that repeal of the Age 60 Rule, as proposed in the Inhofe Amendment, would have on their career expectations. For the nearly 14,000 (10,000 ALPA) pilots who are on furlough, passage of this legislation could extend their period of unemployment. For those of you who are looking forward to retirement in the next few years, it could result in changes in your retirement plans and benefits.

It was free for jobseekers!

It is funny that after I advertised my e-mail address in the "jobs in africa" post by 126.9 I suddenly found myself on a distribution list of mentioned website.

Two options for this to occur are:

The owner of mentioned website used an e-mail grabber to find all e-mail addresses on the pprune website.

or

Let's start a topic to get a lot of e-mail addresses that we can use to start up our website. What should subject will attract a lot of replies? Yes, jobs or how to get rich.

I think that most of the vacancies come from agencies that advertise them for free on their own websites, but I could be wrong.
