Non-event (Marine)

Not aviation but......

I see that aviation isn't the only industry that sfuufers from media over reaction.
The BBC's 6 0'clock news led with a story of a fire on-board a North Sea ferry. It occured in the engine room and the pax were ordered to their muster stations where they were kept for 2.5 hours while the ships crew extinguished the fire. The wx was fine, flat calm, and the ferry continued to its destination (Hull-Zeebruge). The only unusal event was that some fire fighters were airlifted on by RAF Sea King.
Guess it's a slow news day!

Unsinkable ship nudges iceberg in flat calm sea, passengers feel slight judder. Crew asks passengers to don lifejackets as purely precautionary measure.

Koncordski.
The point I was getting at was that nothing happened. It was the lead item with reporters in Hull and Zeebrugge and lasted for 5 mins!!!!!!.
