Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) Mission

Let’s see if we know how to keep an asteroid from hitting the Earth by trying to hit an asteroid in orbit with another asteroid and making an impact on its orbital period.

Not blow it to smithereens, like in the movies, just nudge it a bit.
