Maybe someone out ther can help.
A member of my family has asked if he could have a flight in a Tiger Moth as a birthday present.
He wants to fly over Cambridge/Newmarket area.
Any Ideas/cost etc?

Try the Cambridge Flying Group.

They fly and teach on Tigers at Cambridge Airport. I'm sure that they do pleasure flights.

Give them a ring...

A bit more out of the way down in Kent but I think that the Tiger Club at Headcorn do pleasure flights in their Tiger Moths. The phone number is 01622 891017 or have a look at www.tigerclub.co.uk

They arrange them at Duxford. The Switchboard can put you through,

Try Clacton Aero Club, they still operate a moth out of Duxford at very good rates. 01255 424671, I think.

Question

Does anyone know where the former Britannia Royal Naval College Flight Tiger Moth T8191 based at Roborough in the 60's is now? I believe it was sold into private ownership at a Billingshurst auction about five years ago. Anyone know the registration? T'was my first powered solo flight aircraft and I would love to get my hands on it again for an hour's nostalgia.

Speechless,

If it's the one I'm thinking of, it still exists in navy colours. Has been recently rebuilt, and is up for sale.

However try contacting Stuart Mackay who runs the D.H. Moth club on WWW.Avnet.co.uk/tigerfly/dhmc He has an encyclopedic knowledge of all remaining tigers and would be the best person to help.

Best of luck.
