Heathrow- where has all the traffic gone?

Last night, departing the cargo ramp at 2145z, there was almost no other traffic around.

Just after leaving the south side ramp we were cleared to cross 27L at S5 then all the way to A2 for 27R. Normally we would have to wait for several arrivals before crossing and then join a queue of 8 - 10 at the hold which included SIA, Quantas, Thai, BA, Virgin, and others.

The only other departure while we were taxiing was a company B757 to brussels.

Is this a sign of the reduction in flying due to the financial woes?
Or is it just Thursday that is quiet?

Just wondering.

Safe flying.

Do remember it was busy everynight during the week when we use to fly in on the HP7,s and put the cones out?
Happy landings my old mate.
