Local rules apply
In Ethiopia I fly both because the local CAA allows it. Each governing authority sets the rules and there is nothing to argue about when it comes to rules. Next topic please |

Next topic please Their CAA may not allow you to fly both but IT IS STILL A COMMON TYPE and the question was...... 'Would the pilots fly both due to it being a common type?' So the answer could very well be no because the Taiwanese CAA says no but it is not a no due to it NOT being a common type as the only people who decide if it is a common type is BOEING...Nobody else... The Taiwanese CAA may feel it is unsafe, unprofessional or whatever reason they come up with but not for the common type argument....BOEING SAYS it is a common type therefor it is a common type!!! That fact is undeniable!!...just like the 757/767 is a common type...A318/319/320/321 are a common type....Taiwan CAA does not get to decide this, no CAA does!! |

Show me 1 concrete answer with indisputable proof.
Under the FAA it is a common type as it is under EASA so please tell me where the concrete proof is. Im far more interested in what EASA and the FAA do and say than an Asian CAA considering EASA and the FAA are what that world aviation standards are based off. https://registry.faa.gov/TypeRatings/ In Europe under EASA the 777/787 and A330/A350 are common type ratings. Taiwan CAA follows the FAA in this instance. |
Anybody recently did the screening in Taiwan? I recently applied and got invited to Taiwan but I would like to receive some feedback before going.
