Garuda 737 FO

Has anyone applied for this position? Any idea what the contract is like?
Thanks,
Speedy

Speedy if you have 737 time Garuda will give you an interview. They will put you on the classic most likely though. The pay is much lower than you think but still a fortune by Indonesian standards. You really have to want to come.

You will never get upgraded and the guys may not take a liking to you as you may be viewed as taking a job from a local.

Thanks for that pilotchute. Much to consider! I don't mind flying any machine really, although most of my time is on the NG. Could do with a change of scenery. Any idea what the selection process for type rated guys?

I just received an email saying they are hiring crj pilots. FO pay is 4500 usd a month captain is 7500. After reading this thread and looking at what the 737 pays this seams high (for them) to pay crj pilots. It also says after the first month you get 1200 housing allowance. Is this enough for a descent place for a family? I would want to move the family there. I have not applied and have always deleted their emails from Rishworth because for a long time they did not take crj 200 time. I now qualify but after reading posts on here id does not seem like it is worth it.

1200/mth for housing is more than enuff.
2br aptmn in central of city cost around 900/mth. A 3br big house in suburb, approx 5-6k/yr..International school , cost you around 500/mth. However, admission fee is usd7500.
They need CRJ pilots, coz there's almost no local pilots want to fly it..

do any of you have info on what the schedules look like on the CRJ? Thanks for the info

hi all,

garuda is not hiring bulai for the b737 period, only locals, best bet is the crj or atr but must have 250 hours on type for dgca requirements.

Oh how convenient! 250 hours on type just happens to be the minimum required for foreigners to work in Indonesia. Go for it mate! You've made it through the first hoop! Garuda Indonesia e-Recruitment
