The GMR issue has been settled, They have withdrawn the case.
Rather cryptic. Does it means VJM has paid the outstanding amount, or does it mean he has paid someone off to have the case withdrawn?

thegrapevine 24th Oct 2012 10:32

according to sources, the full amount was paid and the arrest warrant has been cancelled.. VJM surely knows his priorities!! :D:D

3greens 1inthemirror 24th Oct 2012 11:36

hahah look at the irony, if you borrow $100 from a Bank & are not able to pay, you're in trouble, but if u borrow a $100 million & aren't able to pay, the bank is in trouble

Mallya obviously wanted to avoid being arrested while attending the Formula One Indian Grand Prix this weekend:

What arrogance. The reason they "hung on" is likely because there aren't many jobs elsewhere. You might have been "outta there", but you likely would have been unemployed as well - assuming Kingfisher would have hired you in the first place.

Does VJM suffer from an eye disease? He seems to be wearing sun glasses indoors all the time.

Aeronotix 25th Oct 2012 09:27

VJM suffers from an acute I disease!:O:E

he probably paid up before someone slapped a clamp on his F1 cars this weekend..;)

pilotbaba 25th Oct 2012 16:41

He just paid to clear the issue of bounced checks that would have led to his arrest....

The agreement to pay the employees is just another promise to get them back to work...
Re-start the company is still a big ?????

Even if they manage to re-start the company, they will need to a 180 in poilcy & procedures to achieve a turnaround & turn operational profits to justify another round of borrowing......

Looking at the attitudes & body language of the mgmt, I don't think so....
It's a DISTANT PIPE DREAM...

To all the employees, find another job if you can. Jump ship when you get a chance. Even though it is late, it is still not too late....
If you can't, then at least you have a job, which just pay at all.....

Finn47 25th Oct 2012 16:57

Plenty of them have already left by now...

Nearly 40 per cent of Kingfisher Airlines' employees left between March and September - The Economic Times

Kingfisher Airlines – airborne again! | beyondbrics

Could this be really true ?! Has he really managed to convince the staff yet again on promises :=

Smoothie.... :ok:

captjns 28th Oct 2012 08:04

How delusional can the employees be to think that VJ isgoing to be true to his word? Now that Ijust can’t understand.

blackbirdsr72 28th Oct 2012 08:37

whats the alternatives for employess...?? have they got enough oppurtunites in market...?? More than 3000 will be out into the pool ..... better to continue till they get any other offers.... right...?

Victor Inox 29th Oct 2012 11:15

And who in their right mind would book a flight on KFR?

silverhawk 29th Oct 2012 12:17

In any civilised and developed country fraud and deception are crimes.

In India?

Capt Apache's response below epitomises the problems in Indian aviation. Ignoring the real problems but instead, going off at a tangent.

Capt Apache 29th Oct 2012 14:01

Why? Did you get away with doing some fraud over here ?

Capt Apache 29th Oct 2012 15:00

I thought you were going on a tangent. They issued a non -bailable warrant against him, and suspended his airlines license. You din notice.
Your insinuation that India is uncivilised and undeveloped is not just tangential, its insulting and unnecessary.

silverhawk 29th Oct 2012 15:13

Patriotism should be applauded. Blinkered denial is another matter though.

India is corrupt, is undeveloped due to the corruption at all levels and will remain that way for generations to come.

What good is a space programme and a nuclear powered submarine when your population die in the streets?

Please name one area where conditions have improved in 65 years of independence.

Capt Apache 29th Oct 2012 15:49

Oh Yes, now we truly talking about the topic.Nothing tangential about that.

India is corrupt, is undeveloped due to the corruption at all levels and will remain that way for generations to come.
What are you- Nostradamus to see generations into the future.

What good is a space programme and a nuclear powered submarine when your population die in the streets?
Its definitely good for the developed nations, coz that way they can sell us their sophisticated weapons and nuclear reactors, and make good money. They also get to call us uncivilised and undeveloped.

Please name one area where conditions have improved in 65 years of independence.
It is a miracle that we even survived as a nation;after being left to die 65 years ago.
