clearblueskyy 4th Sep 2013 06:29

..to hell with such money making scams, makes my blood boil.

aviator1598 15th Sep 2013 10:19

thanks for advice everybody, but to be honest for me the food and transportation is not important, i can manage myself, as long as the training is good.. which i heard is high standard...:)

RAK123

RAK123 - congrats on your type-rating. All I want to know is did you get a contract for the job or a line training which they are promising?

delay256 5th Nov 2013 22:51

Avoid this outfit!

GCAA is going to put a stop to all of these line training programs , you will loose all of your money !

As for doing a type ? Do yourself a favour and pay the extra money and get it done somewhere professional (CAE, Flightsafety, Airbus themselves) , don't go to these Mickey Mouse companies , you are the one that is going to look stupid when being hired .

UPWA 6th Nov 2013 18:22

Certified Cheaters/Pimps acting as intermediate for other TRTO"s!!

Once a thief, always a thief,They have cheated peole in past, court cases are running against them,a friend had to do the entire type rating again & lost all the fees paid to RJFlight Academy, Mazin Ansari was the culprit there & he is the whole sole promoter of skies aviation.

Can u trust a person who has a prooven track record in cheating & forgery ?

Not Recommended at all := ,peole who are supporting it,have some vested intrested like Prashant for example, who work for them.

More about skies due to many questions.

Hi people, since I left my feedback on this forum, I have been receiving many questions with the same content. So, I’m just going to do a little FAQ.

Q: I want to go to Skies mainly because they offer LT+3 Year Job contracts, what do you think?

A: As I mentioned in my previous post, this whole concept of LT+Job is a marketing trap. How else do you justify getting a type rating in a small company located in the middle of nowhere? All that Skies wants is for you to do the TR with them. They even have two different contracts, One for TR and another for LT. So just because you are going to get your TR there, does not mean you are also getting the LT. Now let’s say you do manage to pull out the LT, it is NOT guaranteed that you will get the job either. In the LT+Job contract, it clearly mentions that Skies has nothing to do with the selection process and it is up to the airline(Eastern Skyjets for 737CL) to decide. Currently there is only one person who is doing the LT.

Q: What is the average hours logged per month?

A: 18.5 (in a 737CL) So it will take around 2-2.5 years to do the LT hours. That is IF you are doing it. (BIG IF)

Q: How can they throw me out after signing the contract?

A: The contract mentions very clearly that “Skies has the full authority to remove the trainee if he/she does not meet the standards” So even if you decide to sue them after they terminate you (which you won’t be able to win, because you signed it!!), imagine the fact that you are a foreigner in a middle eastern country which there is no law and everything works through connections. Would you do it?

Q: How is the airline that does the LT?

A: That is a very general question, but it is called Eastern Skyjets. It is a charter company with 2 737CL and it flies military pax to war zones (mainly Afghanistan and Pakistan). From What I have heard (The captains who work there) it is not a pleasant company to work for.

I see that mainly pilots are concerned about their Line Training. All I can say to those pilots is that don’t fall for Skies marketing trap. Go find another organization which assures you will get it, which is not a scam and has a good reputation. Try Ryan Air, Try Eaglejet and Baltic Aviation. Do not sign/pay for any company without making sure 110% that YOU WILL GET 50,000 Euros Worth of hours on a 737/320. Also make sure you have a way of enforcing the contract you sign, just in case they fail to give you the hours because they don’t like the way you walk.

Happy flying and don’t hesitate to ask me more questions.

+1

Great post , there is never any guarantees for line training, skies has no control over it and will not help if the program is cancelled or you get booted! They want your money !

The owner is a sweet talker , this deal is a disaster!

Skies and Dubai's beloved airline, Eastern SkyJets

What's with you guys, dont you get it?

See the amount of comments and threads posted here in Eastern SkyJEts and Skies, its enough to put you off aviation for good.

Skies Aviation is a rip off, over priced and flanked by a bunch of Romanian and Pakistilia 'over-the-hill' Instructors who'd kick you in the felafals a few times before a sim check and who really "REALLY"cant get themselves decent jobs.

ESJ's no less. Ask anyone.

And if your're 'still hell bent in spending your 'rich-daddy's money, contact me ASAP, i'll get you a type rating and 100 hours on type, GUARANTEED WITH A 5 YEAR CONTRACT in a "World-Class" airline in North Vietnam.

Price tag, EURO 80,000 a pop, still a cheaper deal that Skies. (we also accept kidney's and other useful 'salable' human organs)

Please Quote the Code "1.M.4.D.1.C.K" whilst applying so we know who you are and which lowlife Middle Earth ****eHole you come from.

Stalker_ 22nd Nov 2013 17:17

Guys avoid this program!!, if you really interested to do LT the 767 LT in Thailand is your best bet, see Eaglejet international for more details.

Not saying its ethical but its a good opportunity , Trust me when I say Classic time does not get you ahead! I have been flying this for past 5 years and cant get out of Kabul!! everyone wants NG Time, they don't care about classics!!

People will probably moan at me for suggesting the 767 program, but look no matter how much you hate it, it WILL happen so why not go for it.
Don't waste time on Classics, they are a dying breed now, its all about A320's & NG's for the short haul market.
The 767 will open up opportunity's on 777 & 757, look at DHL in Bahrain they only want 300 hours on type (757) & you will be taking home 10k bucks per month!

pfvspnf 20th Dec 2013 20:22

You guys are out of your mind if you think the program in manila is going to work, wait till CAAP finds out that people are paying to fly, they have enough licensing problems as it is. Nonetheless if anyone does know who they are teaming up with for the A320/330 500 hours line training do shed some light!

departures131 24th Dec 2013 08:31

Hi Guys, I am considering doing business with Skies, but after reading some reports about false promises I am having doubts.

My situation is this, I am 52 years old male whom 2 years ago sold a successful franchise and took early retirement, it was always my wife & I dream to fly, so we both embarked on our PPL at Bourne airfield in Cambridgeshire using the C172, we have both had our PPL for well over a year now, but I decided I wanted to go all the way to commercial so carried out the additional training at Oxford.

The decision to get a CPL was more based on wanting the higher grade of license rather than wanting to go back in to employment, never the less I was successful with the CPL and I also got the instrument rating.

I was fortunate enough to have been able to purchase my own aircraft a 1999 B36 so have racked up almost 450 hours to date.

However I would love to fly the big metal just for the experience but only short term, this is why the 500 hours of line training appeals to me, I don't want to do to get ahead in the job market I have no interest to go back to work, I just want to do for the experience and to tick the box of the list of life long ambitions.

I have read the forum and understand that it is controversial and I apologies to the fine airmen whom are against this, but from what I have read it appears if you don't do it someone else will and it shows no sign of coming to an end any time soon, so with this in mind and the upmost respect for the industry I feel I am justified to fulfill my dream of flying a jet airplane with PAX in the back. I have no intensions to work in the industry its just for 1-2 years for the experience and to fulfill my love of flying.

could I ask are Skies legitimate and if I enroll with there type rating will I indeed get my line training? which is ultimately what I am really after.

alternatively I have spoken with Steven at eagle jet and he has informed me of a 767 opportunity in Asia, any thoughts on this program?

pfvspnf 24th Dec 2013 13:53

Don't do it!

I appreciate your honesty, however I do feel that you are embarking on a pointless exercise trying to gain line experience. I salute your successes in business and am warning you now that dealing with these agents will result in a colossal waste of time and money!

Let me start off by saying, I get it. We've all been there, these modern day machines are a beast to operate! I might suggest you look into becoming a partner of a Pilatus or a Lear? If you have time on your hands , possibly try setting up your own Part 135 in the US? These are far better alternatives than you paying a middle man to sit in the right hand seat of a Boeing, at least there is potential monetary return!

Please understand that there are pilots who have worked tenaciously to finally get to where they want to be, every single opening is being fought for by thousands of qualified applicants. These programs serve no benefit to anybody, its mostly the agents and the airline bosses that keep the funds for themselves, operating costs are never reduced and the agent will NOT help you should the airline change its mind.

Your age will become a factor, especially in Asia, company medicals are usually much more stringent than Civil Aviation medicals, if you do ever fail a medical there will be no refund and you will be grounded immediately.

Stalling Tactics:

The agent will force you to do the type rating with them telling you its their policy to secure line training slots only for their type rated students . They will tell you this is because of their high standards. In reality this is a lie, who do they think they are? The training they provide is usually mediocre! If you have the money, go to the manufacturer or Flight Safety and do your type from there!

The agent will tell you that slots are full at the moment and you will be on priority wait list when more slots open up. This is a lie , they have limited contacts and will go beg the airline to try and squeeze you in.

The agent will tell you you need to attend their own groundschool , this again is a stalling tactic while they harass the airline to start training.

The agent will tell you your visa or security clearance is taking time! guess what? time waster again

When you ask for a refund, they usually are friendly, you will get the usual excuses - money is stuck, accountant is on holiday, blame the iranians, no time to talk right now...

Please please please be careful look at the track record, look at how many people are being walked over. If you want to fly high performance , start with smaller turbines and find other ways to get access to light jets, it shouldn't be difficult especially in the United States. Life on the line is not all glamorous as it sounds, you will be doing sector after sector with very little rest, if the agent does pull through and get you into a scheme you will have very few PF sectors, airlines are reluctant to release low timers and may ask you to do additional simulator sessions. Many airlines make it a point to tell you that you are not welcome, this pay to fly phenomenon has been a CRM disaster!

Skies and Eagle are terrible people to deal with! PM me and I can try and give you some leads into partnerships.

Skies is now charging 90,000 euros ? For an FO seat on the 330, airline has not started yet. This just doesn't stop

dkg 12th Jan 2014 19:37

Want to know the truth

I guess that alot of guys, included me wants to know if there actually is some out there who has been rejected from a Line Training or Type Rating from Skies Aviation? I also want to know if the Line Training is fake or not?

How can people say that Skies is a scam if they don´t have 100% proof? I mean people writes here on the forum that they have heard or they know people who has been cheated by Skies. I want to know who this guys are and the real story.

It might be so that Skies is a funny company and that they advertise the Line Training just for marketing.

If some one will tell the truth or have done a line training with Skies and don´t want to tell the story in public, you are welcome to send me a privat message.

pfvspnf 18th Jan 2014 06:17

90,000 for a 'new' airline that has not even gotten off the ground yet? sounds like russian roulette to me!
