how to apply for Pilot JOB with CEBU PACIFIC?

Hello Everyone ,

I went through the CEBU PACIFIC vacancy list which mentions about the PILOT JOB and last day of application is 30 july 12 .

Asks us to join jobstreet.com but even after enrolling and applying through them I am not getting any confirmation whether my application is accepted.
:(

Would like to know if there is any agency which recruits F/o for cebu pacific

P.S ... Also would like to know how is it working there ???

thank you

How many hours on a company type do you have? 500+ ATR or A320?

Ankit Kotecha 16th Jul 2012 03:55

cebu pacific would need a filipino citizenship for the F/O position, unless you have a couple of hundred hours on the 320

Cebu is hiring expats now

I just had a chat with an expat that interviewed for an FO position with cebu a short time ago. He had another expat that was working there bring his cv in and he lucked out. He has a 320 type rating but zero time on type. He did have some good time flying the crj jets as an fo.

So, to clear up some misconceptions, yes, as of now, Cebu is definitely looking to hire some more expat fo's and no, you do not need to have actual flight time in the 320. The pay is going to be local pay, the contract is going to be a renewable six month one, and you are going to work hard. You won't get very many take off and landings, you won't get very much time off, and you won't get rich. However, if you view this as another step in the training/experience process, it's a great deal. If you can hang in there for a couple of years, the economy doesn't take a dump, then you will probably be in the left seat, where you will get a lot of take off and landings.

In my opinion, it's an excellent opportunity for a young guy to make the transition from the commuter airlines and into the airbus.

The interview is not a cake walk but it isn't brutal either. Just be able to give a rundown about one or two systems, know the limitations, and the memory items. There isn't any tricks, just normal things you should know anyway.

The simulator is a different matter and when I did mine, it was the most difficult sim check I have ever had. So, if you're serious about your career and are in the same situation as this FO, perhaps getting a few hours of practice in a sim before hand, isn't a bad idea.

The HR department normally doesn't reply to emails so don't be bummed out. If you have what is needed, you'll be considered. Remember, there are hundreds of guys just like you trying to break out of the commuter ranks so prepare and don't give up on it. This pilot job hunting, even in today's climate, is time consuming. Good luck!

PS. For you Filipino FO's from Cebu reading this, don't be concerned over having expats coming on property and taking your job. Without us, Cebu would not be able to expand the fleet and have the equipment ready and waiting for you once you have the hours and experience to upgrade. None of the expat pilots will be in the Philippines long term. They are just serving the purpose of allowing the companies to expand.:ok:

Heard Cebu checks of pilots licences and experience is to be desired....

So when did you do your sim check? Can you tell us what the profile was?

bananaman2 30th Jul 2012 08:27

de facto... whether that's true or not (and unethical...)... for me if you can't get your licence validated by CAAP you're not legally allowed to fly anyway... and licence validation requires getting a Licence Verification from the CAA of your 'mother' licence and passing a sim check with a CAAP approved check pilot.

Just out of interest Jaz, I work for an A320 competitor just down the road... are you saying they still take expats but only on local pay?... defeats the purpose of being a contract pilot... unless you're looking for the flying time. Actually as a side-issue (and I'm not having a dig at Ceb Pac)... I heard the use of expats is not because of expansion but because everyone keeps leaving to go to other airlines... for reason of he scheduling... but as you say if you have a Fil passport, looking for a first job or quick command tc not a bad place to start.

I saw on Cebu's web site that they are hiring Airbus and ATR Captains again. Does anybody know if they are hiring expats at this time, or just locals?

Thanks

A nationalist is better off staying at home. Try AirAsia India!

You guys might want to give it another go. Major reorganization in progress at the top management positions at 5J following a spate of resignations initiated by the VP Flight Ops.

Now is your chance.

CP pay

Does anybody know what the pay is for captains ?

Intruder One 15th Jul 2013 00:34

I put this on another thread I will add it here as well....this is the current DEC A-320

The new:

USD 4,730 based on 85hrs per month,Additional 13th month of basic salary bonus for every completed year
At least 35+ flight hours a month. This can be increased up to 100 hours a month in line with local limitations depending on flight crew roster and requirements.
USD 53 per hour (1-60 hours block)
USD 62 per hour (61 hours and above)
.......plus no rotation only 8 days off a month...........no transport to work and no housing.

The old:

Previous contract before they ask everyone to leave:

$11000 per month, transport to work, housing provided at Traders Hotel and 6/2 rotation.

They are now just offering as I was told "local terms" only

Skymaster337 15th Jul 2013 08:35

There is also a "base pay" you left out (about $3k/month). Also there is a transportation allowance as well.

IXUXU 15th Jul 2013 09:49
