The rumor is true. Scheduling the interviews for qualified applicants gets to be a chore these days when everyone is so busy flying , training, going to the simulator, running the office and other things needed to keep the planes off the ground. But just wait. There is a huge backlog for pilots, and if you are qualified, for sure there will be a slot waiting for you. Just keep following up your application.
But you have to be at least qualified to expect a call date. If I remember right, the minimum time is still 1,500 hours total time, preferably with multi-engine rating, instrument rated and a degree holder. I don't know yet the minimums for the ATR fleet but I think its also the same. Its just a matter of how you perform in your interview that will decide where you will be considered. |
Tnx Navitimer,
How about the your License? Do you have to physically have the Philippine license before they consider you? Im still in the process of doin the conversion! |
Hi, everyone,
Does Cebu or PAL accept expats crew?? From the website, it doesn't say so. If so, how do you guys apply? Thanks for sharing your info!:) |
You have to have a valid Philippine license to be considered. I think conversion would only require that you take up the CAR exam.
I don't know about the rules and regulations regarding hiring of expat crew in the Philippines. So far, the only expat pilots I know operating in the Philippines are the pilots of the MD83 of Asian Spirit, but I think they are part of the lease agreement. Sorry about that. |
Thanks, Navitimer.
Maybe I have to look into another place.... Cheers:) |
Why dont you just apply anyway Pinkflaps. For sure the worst is the answer No right.
