hi flyboy/try pal instead they desparately need pilots for the new 3 a320 if they can't come up with its crew free trng from airbus will be forfeited, target date is june/// when you get in there gate1 greet all w/a SIR and never put an imaginary apples in your armpit
especially if you are a tisoy, (not unless you are a group1 capt he he) and you'll be fine
pay won't be as much as an a320 capt in india or somewhere else but you will get your type rating from gcat trng in hongkong,good for your resume when you go middle east.good luck...

womble... there needs to be a good injection of expat crews in the Philippines. Not only because of the need, but because of the experience levels and CRM. Or lack of it! exodus or no exodus... pinoy pilots need to be exposed to how other operators fly aircraft (with crm). Many guys here that arrive in the middle east or in other parts of asia become great pilots because they can adapt to the changing world of proffesional CRM, not what they are exposed to back at home.

There are 4 brand-new ATR 72's arriving in November 07. Except for one Captain from Asian Spirit, absolutely NO ONE has expressed interest for pilots for the ATR's. I guess 1200tt, CPL/IR, a multi-engine rating will be good enough. There have been 2 student failures on the 320 lately, so expect your claimed flying time to be thoroughly VERIFIED. So hurry with your cv's and bring it to Elaine ASAP.

This happens to be the first time I've heard SEAIR or Asian Spirit mentioned in these forums. I've been wondering, is there anyone out there who flies for these two? What's it like? Is it just a stepping stone to bigger things? Are they hiring pilots? What are the requirements? And of course, what's the pay like compared to PAL and/or Cebu Pac?

planestupid, dont really know what neck of the woods you fly in (dont even give a s#@t),but crm is as standard in ceb as in any airbus operation.most of us happen to have airbus factory training in airbus training center france or miami. judging by your previous posts, your last one on this thread is another planely stupid remark.

PS, are you sure of what you're posting? You've been burned by your posts before. Will hiring expats improve CRM in CP or any other airline here in the Philippines? Do you have the numbers to prove your case? Or is it just a case of "colonial mentality"? Please enlighten us.
Going to a different airline outside of the Philippines doesn't make one a great pilot. It just makes them more aware of the things they didn't bother to study and learn while they were flying here in the Philippines. In fact, I would say that some Pinoy pilots who were able to fly for some foreign airline are so full of themselves because they think they already know more than their counterparts here. I'm not referring to you PS because from what I think you are, you're nothing but second rate, trying hard...(calling you a copycat would be quite insulting to the cat).

please define a great pilot? if being a great pilot means working with real professionals and not back-stabbing fellows, having better pay, flying better planes and improved life status...then going to a different airline outside your own comfort zone does make one a great pilot.
In fact, I would say that some Pinoy pilots who were able to fly for some foreign airline are so full of themselves because they think they already know more than their counterparts here.
but then, I disagree with the idea of expats working in the Phils. just to gain additional crm skills.

But now that you asked, in my own opinion, a great pilot would be one who is willing to share one's experience to others and not use one's added knowledge in putting other people down. A great pilot is one who is responsible enough to acknowledge one's mistakes and doesn't blame others for his/her predicament. A great pilot is one who knows one's limitations, and makes sure that these limitations doesn't stop him/her from learning more. A great pilot is a true professional who thinks highly of people who are also professionals in their own right and does not demand respect but earns it. Greatness is in how others see you and not in how you see yourself.

To change the topic a little bit,
can anyone shed light on Cebu Pac's selection process for it PIlots. I heard dont really have set time and dates on interviews and selections, its only when someone becomes a available to do it. Must be busy?
