ALA-TSE

Guns and Roses, Cuba, Copa Cabbana, Petrol club, or just hang with Vlad and he will hook you up.

When in TSE there are fewer options. Chocolate, Dollyvot (sp), Soul plaza, 80's, 80-90's, or Jamaca. Or, just hang with Santana.

When in Aktau, just connect with Marat (the president's pilot that works for AA). He has a string of call girls that run about 5000 kzt for and hour and Marat has arranged so when you call, the girls come to the hotel for your selection. Wonder if Marat is giving the Pres a cut on this.

Oosik, sounds like fun there. Sounds like to many yanks though. Wat are the nightstops for A320? Does 5000 buy good fun :p

Anyone commuting from the USA to Air Astana?

I'd like to speak with someone there if I could...

...heard that most of the training department there is X-Delta?

I'm a current A320 Captain in China...looking for options.

Can you fly on your FAA ATP there?

How fast is it from start to finish (hired to flying)?

Pay...?

Thanks.

clrblu, Direct personel and sigmar websites will answer all those questions in one spot and from the horses mouth. They'll email you right back if you have any other questions.

NEDude 18th Aug 2009 15:35

I am working with Direct regarding the A320 PIC position. Awaiting some replies regarding information but want to know if anyone here can answer some questions:

1 - Are they strict on the last PC within 3 months. Mine was six months ago and now sitting on the street on furlough. Don't have the $5000 to plunk down on doing a PC through a private company.

2 - The required paperwork states they want certificates for Hazmat, CRM and Safety as well as proof of RVSM. At least here in the US, you do not get "certificates" of those things, it is just noted as completed on your company training records. Am I going to be required to collect copies of my training records from my previous employers?

3 - Anyone know what the Aruba verification form is?

Much thanks.

clrblu:

Here are the basics from the information packet I received from Direct Personel:

6 on 2 off schedule

JAA or FAA license works.

Pay for PIC is 6000 Euros per month, SIC is 4000 Euros (Roughly $8475 and $5650 USD per month respectively)

50 Euros per day ($70 USD) per diem when in base unless you elect to stay in base during your 2 weeks off.

Housing for first month at hotel, after which crew member can elect to find own place in town and receive housing allowance or can remain at the crew hotel at company expense.

Ground transportation provided in base.

I am guessing the KC network is Air Astana, but positive space transportation provided on the KC network at the beginning and end of the contract as well as for your two weeks off period. Plus a travel allowance of 175 Euros ($247 USD) after every month of completed service.

Crew members provided accident and emergency medical insurance by Direct Personnel.

I have a girlfriend in Denmark so I probably will not be going back and forth to the US much, but you can get to western Europe on the network and from there it should be fairly easy to get to the US.

Hope that helps you out.

Any news on E190 comming??
Terms and pay?? :ok:

Duh 19th Aug 2009 03:01

My understanding is the 2 weeks off travel is on their network. Getting to the states is on your dime. Beginning and end of contract might be different. Will they really let you stay at the Hyatt instead of getting an apartment?

NE Dude,

Thanks for taking the time to reply to my question. Any information helps.

NEDude 26th Aug 2009 04:46

I talked to DPI today about the A320 contract, no mention of it being on hold. Their site shows the A320 contract updated on Friday as well.

Duh 26th Aug 2009 12:13

I've been told from "an" agancy, that A320 Sim dates will not be held until Sep, if not Oct. To be held in MSP or ATL. Yes, USofA. Don't forget, you have to pay to get there.

Duh 5th Sep 2009 13:05

Anything happening with these guys? Are they ever going to hire for the Bus again?

JotaJota 9th Sep 2009 13:19

Star, DPI of whomever you are using should have plenty of info on the sim profile, etc... Also you might find some info on the previous post.

By the looks of all the responses, you will be the first to interview. Inform the others if you will.

Pin Head 10th Sep 2009 18:47

Interview on the 22nd....

Hey anyone going to MSP for an interview on the 22nd? I was told my
sim partner is from another contract company.....just wondering who is
going to be there and if we can compare notes......

udachi moya 15th Sep 2009 08:28

From the inside ( but not on the bus fleet )

be very careful about T&C, they can and do "can" you very quickly being a non-native flyer - be prepared for a long furlow sometimes between flights - ask the guys in the Hyatt lazing in the pool...... and the guys now back in Obama land...

Aibus fleet - 99% internal KZ flights / DXB / DEL / IST / MOW mostly, the odd trip to BJS or SEL. Summer time you get to stretch out in Hannover for a week, but that is on a bidding platform - junior numpties don't normally get picked...... the rest of the routes are boeing..... all mine.. !!

Otherwise its a great country, great people, nice scenery, perfect for liver function testing.......

MAS Guy 27th Sep 2009 08:39

It is a nice place to work, just be professional and you will be OK. Have fun. It is a good airline and they maintain the plane very well.

Duh 27th Sep 2009 18:14

To bad starskate never gave up the info. Did you make it to the interview? What was the scoop? etc etc
