PAL Update/figures

Line flight instructors get paid an additional ~200 pesos for every hour of training a student. Everybody is still waiting for RSA's parang middle east salary for everybody on the line.They've put in Airphil guys there working the same routes and receiving higher productivity pay (with 60 hours guaranteed) compared to regular line pilots. :}

"Commuting job with one of the best roster patterns in the region (6 Weeks On followed by 2 Weeks Off)"

HAHA!!!

That's about one of the WORST patterns available. Where do they get these guys?

So PAL is willing to pay an FO what a Senior A330 Captain at CEB is making?

Don't worry about CEB pilots jumping ship, they won't do it. LYG has them in a contract that says they can't work for another carrier "in the region" for 12 months after departing CEB. And if a CEB pilot wants to leave, he is required to give CEB a "90 day notice".

Considering CEB has been ambushing FA's that have tried to leave CEB for PAL (didn't give proper notice, please don't hire) I'd say LYG has little to worry about.

Hey, but on the bright side, the CEB pilots did just get a huge pay increase! That's right, a big P1,200 extra per month!!

there's plenty of under paid expats/pinoys there willing to jump on the ship...
Only someone with "IDIOT" tattooed across their forehead would consider this job.

First of all, being an expat you will have to deal with the Filipino mentality. You will be branded "stealing our jobs" and be considered the low of the lowest. PAL training is actually worse than CEB (if you could imagine that) and the expat will be put through session after session of a screaming IP playing endless games in the simulator, and idiot line IP's doing the same on the line.

Be prepared to deal with CAAP as well. They will see this as an opportunity to fatten their pay with unsuspecting expats seeking validation.

And be wary of getting a job permit. Another Filipino trick is to have the applicant pay for the permit, to the tune of P100,000+.

All in all, do your homework. There are much better jobs out there with better pay and work rosters where you will be welcomed, not despised.

And its Brookfield Aviation as well. Look into this very carefully and do research on them.The fact they operate from an office above a Betting shop in UK says a lot to start. They seem to handle alot of offer like this one, I was told about one in Laos by a friend and luckily avoided it. Looking at Black Crow's post its typical I bet Brookfield do not know about any of the work permit or License stuff. I also like the way it says Airline Hotel, Apartment or appropriate allowance, it sound like they do not know what they can really offer or care which is what my friend found.
