Question Rba ?

Can anybody tell me if Royal Brunei Airlines still offer 767/757 Self Sponsored Type Rating in Banda, (Brunei) and are Rishworths still contracting for them?

Thanks in advance

Why not ask the company itself and get a definative answer ?
You could write to either
The Director of Flight Operations
or
The Chief Pilot
or
The Flight Ops Manager
or
The Training Manager

Whoever you choose, the address is
Flight Operations
Royal Brunei Airlines
P.O. Box 737
Bandar Seri Begawan
BS 8671
Brunei Darussalam
South east Asia

Good Luck

Yes, Rishworth are still contracting for RBA - currently looking to replace 2 F/O's who are leaving at the end of this month.

RV6 - What are Rishworths requirements? ie Heavy jet time required? Or bare 76 endorsement? RBA still not accept AUS ATPLs?

Cheers

No we don't accept Aus licences. Not because we don't want to but because we all fly on Validations of UK or NZ licences and the TRE's are allowed to carry out recurrancy on NZ licences as well as UK ones. The problem is that CASA refuse to grant the same facility, they insist that an Aussie check and Training pilot visit us every 6 months ( at RBA's expense) to carry out these checks.
Rishworth pilots should have some, (500hrs) heavy jet time and a 757/767 rating.Historically many have just had a basic rating due supply and demand.

Slightly off topic but can anyone in the abode confirm or deny the rumour that all the RBA cleaning staff have gone on strike as they have not been paid for several months?

The idea of a strike in Brunei does eem hard to believe.

RBA don't have any cleaning staff. All cleaning is carried out by independent contractors who are responsible for paying their own workers. There is no noticeable sign of unrest among the cleaning contractor's staff.
