P2X equivalent to FAA hours?

Hi guys

I've been reading threads over threads as well as many other sources from all over the internet, yet I'm still confused whether the P2X hours incurred as an SO from Cathay can be counted as anything in an FAA standard logbook. Some said the in-seat time can be counted as SIC time in the FAA logbooks, some said P2X is just useless. Would appreciate it if there're any ex-SOs from Cathay who're currently flying in the US who can shed some light on the subject. Cheers
