Rural Asian Pilot Opportunities for Americans

Hello,
I am an 18 year old American who is about to attend college (probably Embry Riddle). I've been an aviation nut all my life and I have 20+ instructional hours in the C172R and far more right seat hours. I want to make a career out of aviation, but I'm not immediately interested in attempting to reach the American airlines after college. I would be interested in flying for an airline such as Susi Air in Indonesia or a bush airline in Botswana. I would like to know if there are similar airlines around the world that would accept aviation college educated Americans with low hours. I am interested in flying anywhere (especially tropical islands like the South Pacific or Caribbean). I'm not picky about a particular aircraft yet or anything like that. I'm open to any suggestions.

Thanks

Hi

Did you ever got to fly in Africa or Asia in the meantime? I have exactly the same wish, and am looking for job opportunities. Would be awesome to hear if you found a place to fly abroad.

best regards, Andri

You can totally do it but you have to show up. 25 years ago I got on a flight to the Caribbean and knocked on doors at many of the islands over there and central America.
But it won’t help starting now because conditions change month by month. When you have the license in your pocket and a few thousand dollars saved, pack a small backpack ad go. With the exception of 3-4 years I haven’t returned home yet. Good luck

That is my dream. Any places I should knock on doors?
