Manila Airport RPLL Taxi-ing times.

Have been watching over a period of 10 days or so the 'performance' of SIA921 (RPLL-WSSS) and the taxing time is very considerable in my view.

Singapore Airlines (SQ) #921 ? FlightAware

Is 44 minutes (16 April 2017 flight) considered excessive for taxi-ing?

Only one runway capable of handling wide bodies when any capital city airport should have at least two. 06/24 intersects with 13/31 slowing things done even further. Add in ever increasing traffic growth driven by the low cost airlines, no room for airport expansion due to built up areas all around and frequent breakdowns of everything from radar to the runway surface and 44 min is doing well.

Having flown into Manila I must say ATC do a brilliant job considering what they have to deal with.

Maybe the odd priority for a local airline but fair play.

Intersecting runways, high traffic volume, nonidea what the equipment is like.

At times challenging weather.

Great job I say.
