Cathay Direct entry FO
I would like to know how is it work for Cathay Pacific and living in HK. What is the time frame to upgrade to command ?? What are the staff benefits nd other priviliges??
CX considers itself a caring, well-managed company. You will live like a king in Hong Kong on the package they are offering, and with just 3000 pilots ahead of you on the seniority list, you will have your command in no time.

I have about 4000hrs of which 1000hrs is B737NG time. My main reason of moving else where is to work for a stable airline with a world wide network.
For QR
-Tax free income and good future plans
-Good overall product
-Doha is a nice place but still a long way to go
For CX
-Good pay progression through the years
-Been around around a long time , structred and organized
-HKG is better to live than any city than the middle-east at least a more tolerant place towards western culture
Overall they are similar only main difference is HKG is a better place to live in and I guess QR would offer faster progression and maybe more pay. But my personal pref is to stay away from the ME
