OK where are you seeing this. My jeppview shows on the Rwy 32 vor plate a CFDA MDA(h) 650 (625') only and a W/O D3.4 CDFA of 1330' (1305)

Well, are you talking about the CDFA - Continuous Descent Final Approach?

MDA 650' includes a crossing altitude (1180') at 3.4 nm, but the DME must be operational, otherwise MDA 1330' has to be used. Note: there is an obstacle (1074') about 3-4 NM on final, and 256' is barely a narrow margin to avoid it.

Cheers.

Thanks

Thanks for the answer, I am bit rusty in the procedures, am getting back to avaition after a long gap. So hope you don't mind me asking a few more questions. So does this mean that:-

1. Due CDFA procedure/rule, there is no possibility that the pilot following the DME will descend to an MDA of 650 feet just after the FAF at D6.1 (Step down) ?

2. The minimum obsctacle clerance is 75M (246Feet) on final approach for an NPA (is this correct)?

3. The MDA is 650 feet at D3.4 because the hill (obstacle) is behind D3.4 & without DME this has been increased to 1330 feet ( Hill height 1074 + 246= 1320) ?

4. The pilot can descend to the MDA of 650 at D3.4 and thereafter fly at this altitude till the MAP (Is this correct ) ?

Thanks a lot
