Medical class 1 in Indonesia
Hello everybody,
I would to know if one of you knows about medical in Indonesia for the Class 1.
I have my class 1 for 10 years now from France issued by military hospital.
I want to know if in Indonesia they used just color test ishihara or another method. In France we have Beyn lantern. I don't see all numbers with this Ishihara test for this reason i use Beyn latern. With Beyn everything is ok, with Ishihara no.
And secondly, if you have to blow in a tube for breath test ?
Thanks in advance for your reply,
Alex

It will be the most complete medical that you have ever received.
Blood test testing for 5 different things (cholesterol, triglycerides, glucose, uric acid and one other that I can't recall.)
Chest x-rays, dental, sight, audio, general doctor interview and if you are over 35 (or 40?) then there is a cardio stress test on a tread mill.
For the colour blindness test, its the numbers one, not sure of the name. And I didn't have to do a blow in the tube thing.
Its every 6 months regardless of your age.

They do the Ishihara test in Indonesia. And they check everything every 6 months including blood tests and your teeth! I kid you not! Stress ECGs (on a treadmill) are usually done for over 40 year olds every 12 months but if you look over weight, they may ask you to do one for your initial.
Chest x-ray is only every 12 months. But still somewhat understandable given the prevalence of TB in the country.
Basically it is what it is due to the low health outcomes of the general population which even among the pilot population still aren't as good as other jurisdictions. Especially when you factor in general sanitation, food handling standards, parasites, tropical diseases, palm oil etc.
Dental records are of course used to identify bodies when all else fails. Helpful to have up to the minute records.
