Do not go to work for Regent Airlines

If you see an ad for Regent Airlines in Dhaka Bangladesh I would suggest that you think very hard about going to work there. It is a two fleet 737NG operation.

I went to work for Regent on June 1 2013 and worked there until Sept 2014 when I submitted my resignation for non payment of salary. I was B737NG fleet manager for 7 months.

After almost a year of constant duty (as oppossed to the promised 9 on 3 off and round trip tickets each time) I finally told them I was leaving on vacation on June 7th 2014. We came up with a statement of "dues" aas they put it on May 5th. I had to leave on July 7th (as I had an interview with a major European airline on the 8th)...

I left on the 7th on 18 weeks of paid vacation. I have never gotten either the pay for that vacation or my last months payment. NOW I know that leaving with out the money was not "great" but I had the oppurtunity to jump the que for an interview with my new employeer and needed the time home with my family. In addition I had flown out the 1000 ICAO hours.

If you go to Regent they will make lots of promises but are slow pay evenin the best of times and tend toward no pay. right now pilots are running about two months behind in pay and flight attendants about three months.

If you want some email proof of all this just let me know and I am willing to furnish it off list

Worked out oK for me, I got the triple 7 job with a major European carrier, just typed. but if you go there ...be careful

How working for this company "worked for you" ?

737 job with a operator helps you get a 777 job with THY ?

The Turks must be quite desperate…..

If you leave a third world country, you know they will not run after you with money.

Yeah... I spoke by phone with the owner of the company about joining as head of training.

He made a most generous offer for me... Accommodation at a so-called four star hotel which was actually a two star after I researched the property.

Half pay while accomplishing ground work until certification. He skirted the method of pay... currency to be paid along with pleading that he's a start up... the usual blah blah blah.

Full pay whilst in country on duty and half pay whilst home.

Return tickets in economy with the airline offering the cheapest seats.

Would not entertain the though of a completion bonus upon certification.

I deemed this operation to be a bottom feeder operation before they even got off the ground.

The operation is a typical shyster operation run by a thug.

But Dhaka is such a lovely place. You wouldn't work for free just to enjoy all it has to offer?

Regent Called Dhaka control asking for weather as the atis was too far out.... and Ctrl Replied...

Come Come... Today Weather is Good.... !!
