Does anyone have a clue from where the questions for ATPL MET&Radio Aids have been picked up?

I have an FAA PPC/IR and am from India. I think about 30% of the questions in the two PPL sample papers were actually relevant to everyday flying.

What is the practical use of knowing across how many degrees position lights are visible? I feel sorry for the student pilots who have to waste so much time and resources on this bull****.

Shameful.
