China is not perfect and is not for everyone. I did my homework before I went.
I rant far more about my legacy job than I did about my Chinese job.
Jun Yao has a real bad rep and I personally know 2 pilots that worked there. Hainan has a horrible rep for line training, and I have talked to at least a half a dozen pilots who worked there (while jumpseating).
Don't like pollution? Why did you apply for a job in a highly polluted city?
Don't like Asia, or Asians? Why did you leave home?
ATC less than perfect? This is really a problem for an experienced pilot?
There are lots of happy pilots in China. A lot of them wish they were 747 captains at Delta or Luftansa but it didn't work out.
As expats we are all volunteers. That means we can leave if we don't like it.
