if you are talking about transmile based in WMSA then the last i'd heard they are still the contractor for Pos Malaysia to ferry mails to & fro east malaysia. i believe they currently have 2 b737-200 & 3 b727-200 and intending to buy a couple more b727s (vaguely recall reading it in the papers).

regarding hiring policies and criteria, my apologies, i do not have any info on them.

I'll find out for you soon and post back here. A couple of Ex-Transmile Captains have joined us. They are still operating well and are expanding with a couple more 727's.

Super Ranger,
How are things on your side of the fence?

Cool

Hi guys, just for info: Transmile currently has 2 B727-200, 4 B737-200 and 2 caravans. The 727 are based at Penang for various contract work (SEA region). The caravans are stationed at east m'sia for local postal work and only the 737 are based at WMSA for local and regional work.

On last report, they intend to get 2 more 727 to provide for its expansion for 2002/03. However, the vacancies have recently been filled as the ads were published in the STAR and NST a couple of months back. But, like they say....no harm trying. Last I heard was, its routing for its regional work are Hong Kong, Bangkok and Shenzen.

The requirements for the vacancies are 800hrs on 50 seat turboprop or heavier with ICAO ATPL for FO. Best of luck...
