Cataract surgery...Acceptable?

Thanks in advance,

Any experience with acceptance or denial of cataract removal surgery by the CAAC aeromedical branch. I know LASIK type procedures are not approved.
Just wondering on the cataract issue.

Safe journies,

Sushi

LASIK is approved mate.
It just gets some doctors excited - you have to do other tests etc.

As far as i know (and someone with actual facts please correct me if Im wrong), Japan was the last to not approve it, and now they have. Even though I dont think ANA does.

I think that all Asian countries approve it - with a battery of additional tests as well.

I think cataracts are the same.

Im happy to be corrected if someone has RECENT ACTUAL facts.

Eternity.
