India DGCA CPL 10+2 Requirement
Hello everyone!
I'm currently doing my A Levels (British equivalent to Indian +2) in English Language and Geography in Dubai.
I have also done 7 subjects at the IGCSE level (British equivalent to Indian 10th standard) which include Maths and Physics.
According to the Indian DGCA, in order to get a CPL, one has to have done this +2 in Maths and Physics. Since I haven't and do not intend on doing so since no other country requires this, is their any way around it or are my dreams of becoming a pilot completely squashed due to such rules?
I can still get a PPL with my current qualification without Maths and Physics at the +2 level, but what use is that if I'm not able to get a CPL afterwards?

Unfortunately thats how DGCA works . If you want the Indian CPL you will need to do Maths and Physics in 12th grade
Assuming the age you mentioned on pprune is true looks to me like you have plenty of time to clear these two subjects
One more benefit of doing so will be that you will become eligible for the IndiGo Cadet Pilot program as well
I dont know how hard or easy A levels are but you also have the option of doing it from NIOS . I know quite a few candidates ( those who opted for commerce in 12th ) that did maths or physics from NIOS and this is accepted by the DGCA

P.S : You will need to get an equivalency certificates for your 10th or 12th certificates from the Association of Indian Universities ( AIU ) in New Delhi prior to getting the computer number ( which you need in order to give the DGCA exams )
