CHPL in India

Hello everyone!

I currently hold a DGCA CPL valid till Feb 2016. Serving in the Defence, I have been flying helicopters for the last year and a half, and have a little more than 350 hours on type. Knowing I'll be flying helicopters in the future too, a CHPL seemed a logical thing. In light of this, I had a few questions:

1. What exams would I need to clear for the CHPL? I cleared Air Regs and Composite in 2009, any chance either of them would hold any worth?

2. I have a lifetime RTR license from India. Would I need a fresh FRTOL with the CHPL or would the old one work? What happens during recency?

3. I obtained my CPL just before the 'English Proficiency Test' was introduced. Any information on that will be helpful.

Please feel free to add any further points you might feel important to this discussion. Thank you for your time!
