Older B737NG skipper / Any chance?

Hi,

I'm 59 years and keep being told "you're too old". Unfortunately, I cannot retire (even if I wanted). So, if anyone knows of B737NG Captain positions, open to older skippers, much appreciated if you would make contact.

Cheers

Jet Airways in India.

Jet Airways, may not be best but is definitely not the worst.

"Captjns" is already working there, he should be able to tell you more abt the company.

Jet Airways is the first choice. Good pay and accommodations. Bureaucracy with the DGCA and government requires patience.

COPA is hiring.

Turkish... Paid in lire which is plummeting. Poor pilot to management relationship.

Lion Air, Etiopean... Bottom feeders

An A320 rating would open a few more doors if you approached the likes of Viet Jet and Tigerair offering to pay for the conversion if you were offered a job.

Other:
Have flown B747-400/200 as Captain but NOT current, been a few years. Any positions, open to older, non current skippers, info is much appreciated. BUT, don't have JAA or right to live in EU.

Add Orient Thai to the list of bottom feeders, but they probably wouldn't be too bothered about you not being 747 current and they have at least one 737.

You are welcome cptbb. By the way... Saudia is looking for 744 skippers. I don't know if it's direct to the company or through an agency.

You can check to see if you a PC for currency purposes would help if it's been more than 2 years out of the seat of the 744 or 737.

It should be noted that carriers in Asia are specific regarding currency in the NG versus the Classic models of 737.

Good luck

Royal Brunei are recruiting non-type rate Captains for the A320 .. maximum age is 59, so you just meet the cut off point.
